The 60GHz radar platform behind Kestrel-Home has been developed for healthcare use since 2019, and in use in healthcare settings since 2022. It also helped shape the industry standard for millimetre-wave radar monitoring alarms, released in March 2025. Kestrel-Home brings that same sensing to the family home, as a one-time purchase with no monthly fee.

Interference Avoidance: Avoid installing near constantly moving objects (e.g., curtains, plants) or large reflective surfaces (e.g., metal ducts, mirrors) to prevent false triggering.
Device Spacing: Maintain a minimum distance of 4 meters between multiple sensors to prevent mutual interference.
Mounting: Ensure the installation surface is vibration-free. Radar signals can penetrate surfaces — avoid moving objects directly behind the installation wall or ceiling.
Wiring Safety: Disconnect power before wiring. Use certified cables and ensure the circuit includes appropriate short-circuit and overload protection.

Yes. Once live, the Kestrel-Home app lets you share alerts and data with every named person on the account, so it's not all down to one person if something goes wrong.
Yes. Once live, you'll be able to access the Kestrel-Home Portal from anywhere with an internet connection. Note that SMS alerts may be charged in line with your phone provider and contract.
No. You choose who to grant access to. Beyond that, only Kestrel-Home has access to your data, and only to operate, support, and improve the service — we never share it with third parties.
